Who are we?

We are a community of writers who always greet each other with a ‘hello’, love making new friends, and support each other on our individual writing journeys. Our group meets every Tuesday in the heart of Orlando, Florida from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. Our meetings allow writers both time and space to work on their individual projects without distraction.

What’s the Word?

  • I’ve been looking for a writing group like Authors Anonymous for years. It provides a chill atmosphere filled with incredible and supportive people who have become fast friends. Ashleigh is a terrific leader who works hard to cater the group to our needs. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

  • I joined this group expecting to find a place to work on my draft. What I found was a community that has enriched my life and my writing practice. Showing up every week gave me the structure and accountability I needed to finally finish the draft I have started and abandoned and restarted for the last 10 years. It also helped me find dear friends. I feel more connected to a consistent personal writing practice and to a writing community. Some weeks I accomplish a lot. Some weeks I crap out 3 words. But no matter the outcome, there is someone else there to celebrate or commiserate with. There's no pressure. You show up, do your best (sometimes your worst) and know that it's all part of the ride. This group took a lonely experience and made it a place of community. Introvert approved.

  • I moved to Orlando in March of last year and it wasn’t until I found Authors Anonymous that I began to actually have a community here. The people I meet on a weekly basis are some of the kindest, creative souls in this city. I’ve made incredible friends that I’m sure will last a lifetime. The people are what keep me coming back every week even when I really don’t want to write. They motivate me and help me stay on track to get where I want to go.
